This month has been all about progress and people. We’ve celebrated team achievements, supported important causes, completed key projects, and even expanded our operations south of the border. We’re excited to share the highlights of a busy and successful September with you.
Spotlight On: #ZeroWasteWeek
September began with a focus on sustainability as we marked #ZeroWasteWeek. It was a great opportunity to share how we’re actively reducing waste across our projects and in our office.
We believe every action adds up, from recycling materials on our sites to operating a digital-first policy. Protecting the environment is at the heart of what we do, and we’re proud to continue building a greener future.
Community, Strength & Support
This month, we’re shining a light on the incredible strength within our Lochlie family. A huge congratulations to our Site Manager Gordon and his wife Chelsi, who recently hosted a powerful fundraising day for the wonderful charity, SiMBA.
Together with friends, family, and the team at SM Fitness, they absolutely smashed their goals in memory of their baby boy, Jude. Thanks to unbelievable generosity, they raised over £3,100 and lifted a combined total of over 338,000kg.
It was a privilege to attend and support such a moving and inspiring event. 💜
Investing in Our People: September Success
We love to celebrate our team’s growth, and September has been a fantastic month for professional development!
A huge congratulations to our Project Manager, Darren White, on achieving his Management SVQ. While leading our largest project to date, he’s now working towards his CIOB chartership. At the same time, our Plumbing & Heating Supervisor, Stephen Wilson, has earned his SVQ in Construction Site Supervision, making him an even greater asset to the team.
We also wish the best of luck to our apprentice, Kenny, who is starting his final year of Quantity Surveying at Glasgow Caledonian University. He’s already made a huge impact on projects across the country, and we can’t wait to see what he achieves next!
On the Road with Team Lochlie
This month, our work has taken us to some incredible new locations. Our operative Jasper captured some stunning photos while working on a remote project, showcasing one of the best perks of the job!
We’re also thrilled to announce that we are expanding beyond Scotland with new projects for a key client. This represents an exciting new chapter of growth for Lochlie, with our Site Supervisor, Graeme Dempsey, and his team getting our first site in England up and running.

Project Milestones: Handovers & Progress
It’s been a busy and productive month across our sites. Here are a couple of key updates from September:
✅ Handover Complete: Workshop Refurbishment
We’re proud to have handed over a newly refurbished workshop for an exciting new client. Our team delivered a full fit-out, including major M&E upgrades, new concrete floors, and modern staff welfare facilities. A huge thank you to the crew for their dedication to delivering the highest standard of work.
🏗️ Key Progress: New Gorbals Housing Association
A critical milestone was reached at our New Gorbals site with the safe and efficient installation of a new fire escape steel frame. This is a vital piece of foundational work for the community’s future development. Next up: the timber kit and brickwork!
Building a Greener Future, Together
As September comes to a close, we’re marking #ScotClimateWeek by reaffirming our commitment to building a more sustainable future. For us, the #LetsDoNetZero mission is about taking tangible action, one project at a time.
We are proud to partner with businesses across the country, designing and installing bespoke solar PV systems that significantly reduce carbon emissions. By empowering our clients with data-driven solutions, we help them invest confidently in renewable energy and play their part in creating a greener Scotland.
