Refurbishment & Extension of C-Listed Building

This project was to complete the full refurbishment and extension of the former Speakers Club in Maybole, Ayrshire. We worked closely with the local community group, who had raised the funding for this project, and their design team to help deliver the works within a strict budget.

The scope of works involved the complete stripping out the existing building, full new mechanical and electrical installation, reconfiguration of the internal layout, extension, full refurbishment including floor, wall and ceiling finished, and exterior works including car park and exterior painting.

Our in house team of skilled tradesmen carried out the vast majority of the works, with support from a small number of specialist sub-contractors. This project suffered significant delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and we are exceptionally proud of the team for the conscientious handling of restrictions once back on site, and of the way they developed strong community relations within the town.
