Celebrating No Wrong Path Week!
This month, we were proud to support #NoWrongPathWeek, a fantastic Scottish initiative that shows there’s more than one route to a rewarding career.
We kicked off the week by celebrating our newest team member, Colin Borland, who is officially starting his new Plumbing and Heating Apprenticeship. As a mature apprentice, Colin’s journey highlights that it’s never too late to learn a new trade.
We also shone a light on our HR Manager, Kirsty Campbell, who shared her own inspiring story. Her path to Lochlie was far from traditional, reminding us that life experience and resilience can be just as powerful as formal education in shaping a successful career.
We hope these stories from our team show that every journey is valid and that in construction, there truly is no wrong path.
Meet Our Newest Team Member: Anu
We’re delighted to introduce the newest member of our team, Anuradha Wickramasinghe! With over 16 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Sri Lanka, Anu joins us as an estimator.
Having recently earned her MSc from Glasgow Caledonian University, Anu is passionate about the financial side of projects and loves the early stages of a build, from analysing drawings to creating accurate cost estimates.
Please join us in giving Anu a very warm welcome to the Lochlie team!
Staff Achievements: Congratulations, Colin!
We’re proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement of our Painting and Decorating Manager, Colin Stirling, who has successfully completed his SVQ in Construction Site Management.
Colin’s years of hands-on expertise and leadership are instrumental in the quality of work our team delivers. He plays a vital role in securing new projects and supporting the continued growth of our painting and decorating department.
His dedication to professional development sets an excellent example and reflects the values we hold as a company. Congratulations, Colin, we’re proud to have you on the team!
Award Season Update
This month, we’re sharing some exciting news on the awards front!
First, we are thrilled to have been shortlisted for two categories at The Glasgow Business Awards 2025: ‘Net Zero Achievement’ and ‘Best Performing Small-Medium Business.’ Congratulations to all the other businesses that were shortlisted. We look forward to the ceremony on 2nd October.
In addition, our commitment to a greener future has led us to sponsor the 2025 ROCCO Award for Environmental Sustainability. We are excited to recognise and support other businesses that share our vision. We encourage all companies to get involved and enter here before the deadline on 19th September.

Lochlie in the Headlines!
We are proud to announce that our Director, Douglas Aitken, was recently featured in an article in The Herald Scotland with Entrepreneurial Scotland!
