Lochlie Construction Group’s 2025 Project Reflections

A Year of Transformation: Lochlie Construction Group’s Top Projects of 2025

As the year draws to a close, the team at Lochlie Construction Group is taking a moment to reflect on another successful year of delivering high-quality, impactful projects. We are immensely grateful to our clients and partners for trusting us with their visions. From driving sustainability for an iconic Scottish brand to modern, collaborative office spaces and vital community refurbishments, 2025 has been a year defined by adaptability, expertise, and efficient project delivery.

Here are three key projects that exemplify the great work carried out by our team this past year:

Serving Up Sustainability: Equi’s Ice Cream Factory

We were incredibly proud to partner with the truly iconic Scottish brand, Equi’s Ice Cream, to support their journey toward a greener future. We managed the full design, supply, and installation of a comprehensive solar PV system on their factory roof.

This project saw Lochlie deliver a full turn-key solution, helping Equi’s embrace clean, renewable electricity to power their famous ice cream production. The results are impressive:

  • System Size: A 128 kWp system.
  • Environmental Impact: Approximately 22 tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided per year.
  • Scope: Included full design, engineering, structural load verification, installation of export limiting, and complete testing and commissioning.

This system now significantly reduces Equi’s carbon footprint and showcases our expertise in delivering large-scale, impactful sustainability solutions.

We received fantastic feedback from our client, David Equi: “We’re delighted to be working with Lochlie Construction. Our project was delivered on time, within budget, and successfully completed despite challenging weather conditions. Even through the winter months, the solar PV system has reduced our electrical consumption and costs massively.”

The Collaborative Hub: Prism House, East Kilbride

The internal fit-out of Prism House in East Kilbride presented an exciting challenge: transforming a ground-floor commercial unit into a modern, open-plan office space designed to inspire collaboration and boost productivity.

Appointed by the client on the recommendation of the project architect – thanks to our reputation for managing tight timescales and delivering high quality – we had just 11 weeks from initial discussions to project completion, with the client needing to be operational by the start of the new year.

Our work was comprehensive, including strip-outs, constructing new internal partitions (both plasterboard and glazed systems), installing energy-efficient LED lighting, full flooring upgrades, and a complete refurbishment of the kitchen and washroom facilities. Despite the aggressive schedule and the need to coordinate with existing building service providers in a live environment, our detailed project schedule and transparent reporting ensured the project was delivered on time and within budget, resulting in a modern, functional, and highly collaborative new headquarters for our client.

The Community Impact: St. Philip’s School, Airdrie

Perhaps one of our most rewarding projects this year was the full refurbishment of the former St. Philip’s School building in Airdrie. We transformed the existing facility into seven modern, independent living flats for young people.

St. Philip’s has a long history of supporting young people, and we are proud to have contributed to the creation of this fantastic new facility. The project was comprehensive, including:

  • Complete internal renovation of the building.
  • Installation of a new, durable flat roof covering.
  • Integrating individual Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) heating systems for excellent energy efficiency.
  • Fitting an integrated sprinkler system for enhanced safety.
  • Installation of fully fitted, contemporary kitchens and new soft floor coverings.

The successful completion of this project is a true highlight of the year, demonstrating our ability to deliver complex refurbishments that have a genuine and positive impact on the community.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all the clients, partners, and subcontractors who have worked alongside us this year. The success of these projects is a reflection of our collective commitment to excellence.

We wish you all a Happy Hogmanay and a prosperous New Year! We look forward to partnering with you on new and exciting construction journeys in 2026.
