Woodlands Community Hub

This community workspace was commissioned by our client, Woodlands Community Development Trust. The Trust wanted to create a vibrant local space to host community meetings, activities and groups. The hub was manufactured offsite by a specialist provider of modular buildings. It was built from sustainable materials and designed to be highly energy-efficient.

The team carried out site clearance work and delivered civil engineering services to prepare for the installation of the hub.   Our joiners then installed a small kitchen area and completed finishing works internally. Externally we completed hard landscaping works including footpath, stairs and decking.

The client instructed a second phase of works in 2019, which were to provide extra landscaping and decking to the exterior areas. This extended the usable space of the hub.

The workspace is now a valued and well-used facility in the community, hosting community meetings, baby & toddler classes, and talks from local artists.
