This Scottish Careers Week, Douglas is celebrating being a proud #STEMAmbassador. Douglas is one of 30,000 individuals who are volunteering and making a difference in inspiring and preparing the next generation for a future in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
In the past 12 months, STEM has achieved some amazing milestones!
- Supported over 2 million young people and tackled disadvantage
- Worked with every school in the UK and connected with over 400,000 teachers and educators
- Linked STEM Ambassadors from over 7,000 businesses to bring inspiration and industry knowledge into schools
Douglas works within the STEM Ambassador Network, collaborating with dedicated teachers and youth group leaders who seek to bridge the gap between STEM subjects and the real-world applications they offer. By connecting classroom education with practical workplace experiences, Douglas is able to share his expertise and dedication with young learners, fostering connections and sharing invaluable insights into various STEM fields.
