🚀 Welcome to the Lochlie Construction Group’s Monthly Newsletter! 🏗️
May has been a whirlwind of activity, jam-packed with exciting projects, engaging events, and an astounding response to our apprenticeship programme announcement in April!
Kicking off the month, we had the privilege of collaborating with Defib4Life Ltd and Workman LLP to install a Solar PV cabinet for a defibrillator right here in Glasgow. This project is close to our hearts as we’re dedicated to making defibrillators accessible to all. Proudly, all our construction sites are now equipped with portable defibrillators.

In another milestone, our renewables team successfully completed the installation of a 35kWp solar PV system for Veitchi Group in Glasgow. Veitchi took advantage of our complimentary in-house solar PV modelling service, ensuring informed decisions based on their consumption data. Despite a brief weather delay, the project was wrapped up on schedule at the beginning of May!

While our Renewables team were hard at work, our in-house Construction and Refurbishment division continue to work hard on our new build cottage project in Renfrewshire.
Scheduled for completion over the summer, this property boasts an array of assistive technologies, including a therapy wing and carer’s quarters, in addition to the main living spaces. Stay tuned for the grand reveal!

We also had the pleasure of attending Renfrewshire Connect 2024, hosted by Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce at the Lagoon Centre, Paisley. It was a great opportunity to engage with a wide array of businesses and establish new connections. Special shout out to Andy Robin from Paisley Museum Reimagined, and Graeme McLatchie and Colette Saez from Renfrewshire Councilwho hosted a fantastic seminar on Regeneration & Business Support.
Last but certainly not least, our Apprenticeship Programme saw an overwhelming surge of interest this month, and applications are now closed. The response has been tremendous, and we are currently reviewing all submissions, with interviews taking place shortly.
Thank you to everyone who applied and good luck to all!
