Refurbishment and Cosmetic Alterations
The project:
Our client South Ayrshire Women’s Aid had secured new premises in order to create a residential facility for women and children who required refuge from domestic abuse in the area. Following a competitive tender process, we were appointed to the project.
What we did
The scope of works included a full strip out of the existing building, including all mechanical and electrical stripping out. We installed propping on the ground floor to allow structural alterations to take place and created new openings for windows and doors. Our team then installed all new mechanical and electrical systems, completed all internal joinery works from partitions through to finishings, installed kitchens and bathrooms in each apartment, and completed full floor, wall and ceiling finishes. All works were completed by our in house team and overseen by an experienced Site Manager. The facility was recently opened to high praise by none other than the Duchess of Cornwall!
